VISION
To see all people of Buikwe District become the people God created them to be.
OUR STORY
Isaac and Megan Omanikor founded Equip Ministries Uganda, where they now serve as Site Manager and Development Manager.
Isaac, born in Tororo, Uganda, came to Christ in his 20s and has a background in accounting and ministry leadership.
Megan, originally from Florida, felt called to serve in Uganda where she and Isaac met and later married.
In 2020, sensing God’s burden for the Buikwe community, they moved into a tent in the village, listened to local needs, and began building what would become EMU.
Today, their prayer is to see the Buikwe region transformed by the Gospel.

Savings
Groups
Our Savings Groups provide accessible ways for community members—living over two hours from the nearest bank—to save, take loans, and invest locally. Each group also includes weekly Bible study, literacy training, and basic business skills.

Equip Primary School
As the first primary school in our community, we provide quality education while developing strong character and teaching the Bible daily. We currently serve 170 students from Middle Class through Primary 7.

Leadership Development
We believe this ministry belongs to the local community, so we focus on raising up well-equipped, local leaders in various programs.
Core Ministries
Community Programs
DAY CAMPS
During school holidays, we offer youth camps where students can keep learning, play new games, serve their community, memorize Scripture, and enjoy Christian fellowship.
WELL WATER
Our local community lacks proper water infrastructure. As the well produces water beyond ministry needs, we allow the community to fetch from EMU.
BIBLICAL LITERACY
We want everyone to know and understand Scripture, so we offer weekly Bible studies, chapel, and Sunday worship. We also provide Bibles in local languages, including solar audio Bibles.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
EMU encourages staff, students, and Savings Group members to serve their community by helping the elderly, repairing roads, and visiting or praying for those in need.
