Programs

We strive to offer Gospel-centered, discipleship oriented, educational programs for the community. Currently we run:

Sports Club

Soccer, Netball, Volleyball and 9 Square are all fun activities that we use for weekly skills development as well as character development. Emphasizing teamwork, encouragement, humility, and respect, these sports involve both staff and students and are fun ways to teach valuable life lessons.

Community Outreach

Several times a year, we welcome the community to EMU for events such as showing the Jesus Film in Luganda, Sports days, speech days, etc. When possible, we also seek out ways to invest in our local community such as road repair, visiting the elderly, and all school service days.

Day Camps

During school breaks, 3 times a year, EMU runs day camp for our local community. This is a time of fun, diving into God's Word, learning new skills, and enjoying yummy food! Often times, US teams are necessary to help with successful facilitation of these events as our staff are also on break.

Glory Savings Group Facilitation

Being 2 hours from any bank, our weekly Savings Groups allow community members to create financial services amongst themselves. Together they meet for Biblical lessons, financial services, and community. These groups have been essential in establishing trust in our community and helping our community save towards important needs like school fees or healthcare.

Equip Academy

Facilitating a Christian Nursery and Primary School which has 10 classes and 200 students. Each day begins with Bible and then includes core subjects as well as art, music and P.E. All students receive a partial scholarship to attend EPS and receive scholastic material and two meals a day.

Staff Fellowship

Staff-led, weekly Sunday gathering of believers for prayer, fellowship, preaching and worship
